The Story

B+
my blood type
my Dad's blood type
my motto for life

There is always a reason to smile, if only you take the time to look.

I have had three heart transplants.
I battled cancer six times.
I am a college student at Brigham Young University.
I am a Mormon.

I strongly dislike making decisions, particularly big ones.
Like what my major should be.
I have a slight obsession with horses and Pixar movies.
I can quote nearly any Disney movie.
I have never seen nor read Harry Potter.
And I'm okay with that.
My iTunes library is mostly country and EFY music.
I spend my free time with a good book.
Or my amazing friends. Depends on my mood.
I love chocolate, mountains, and my family.
My friends call me a Mormon nerd.

Welcome
to my musings on life!

  1. Hi Lauren,

My 10 year old was having a hard time tonight with the idea of getting her adnoids out, having to get braces, and wearing glasses. I pulled out your blog and shared your story with her--and your b+ attitude. I'll never forget the night you came and shared your story with the CL YW--it was so powerful. I just wanted to let you know that you continue to inspire. I am so glad you are out at the Y enjoying a new adventure!!
